What has Textron guided for 2026?

Management promises approximately $15.5 billion of 2026 revenue and GAAP EPS of $5.64–$5.74. Adjusted EPS is guided to $6.55–$6.65, with manufacturing cash flow before pension contributions of $800–$900 million. It kept three of five promise categories overall. Adjusted EPS beat two annual forecasts and landed within one. Cash beat three, while revenue beat one and fell below four.

What has Textron's revenue and profit trend been?

Manufacturing cash flow was $512 million, and cash flow before pension contributions was $418 million. But the first nine months’ comparable cash measure was $344 million, down from $459 million, so one strong quarter has not proved a sustained change. A $21 million tariff refund belonged to the second quarter, not the third. The quarter therefore adds evidence of recovery while preserving the need to watch cash conversion.

What should I watch in Textron's next results?

Aviation’s backlog was about $8.0 billion at October 3, 2026. Investors should compare new orders, cancellations, delivery slots and lead times with actual deliveries. If inventory rises while deliveries stall, an aircraft may be waiting for one missing engine or structural part rather than generating cash.

The U.S. government was operating under a temporary spending measure through December 11, 2026. The timing of the full fiscal 2027 defense appropriation and the MV-75 production option matters because Textron expects an unfavorable $110–$150 million accounting adjustment if that option is awarded in 2027.
