Weyerhaeuser dividend
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: Weyerhaeuser pays a quarterly base dividend of $0.21 a share, and its regular dividend was $0.84 per share in 2025. Weyerhaeuser generated $88 million of free cash flow in 2025 against $606 million of dividends, so recent free cash flow did not cover the payout.
How much does Weyerhaeuser pay in dividends over the years shown?

The board sets a quarterly base dividend of $0.21 a share and targets returning 75%–80% of annual Adjusted Funds Available for Distribution through dividends and buybacks. Adjusted FAD is management’s cash measure after selected adjustments. In 2025, it added back a $200 million pension contribution and $109 million spent on the Monticello engineered-wood plant. Both were real cash outflows, even though the measure excluded them.

What this means. The company's reports call dollar gross profit “gross margin,” while this table uses gross margin for the percentage of sales left after direct costs.

Does Weyerhaeuser's cash cover its dividend?
Weyerhaeuser targets returning 75%–80% of annual Adjusted FAD through its base dividend and, when appropriate, additional dividends or repurchases. Its regular dividend was $0.84 per share in 2025. Adjusted FAD was $397 million, while actual free cash flow after capital spending was only $88 million. The difference shows why the company’s adjusted distribution measure cannot replace the unadjusted cash test.

What could change Weyerhaeuser's dividend?
The base dividend stays at $0.84 per share each year. The bear case cuts it to $0.60 and then $0.48; the bull case raises it to $0.92 and then $1.00. Flat dividends are supported by the five-year record, but coverage is poor: 2025 free cash flow was $88 million against $606 million of dividends, while third-quarter 2026 free cash flow was $56 million against $151 million of base dividends.
What is Weyerhaeuser's dividend yield against its share price?
Recent free cash flow yield is 0.6%, below the 4.2% dividend yield. In the third quarter of 2026, operations generated $193 million and capital spending used $137 million. That left $56 million before other investing cash flows, against $151 million of base dividends. The gap may be covered by cash, asset sales or stronger future operations, but it makes recurring cash generation the central question.
