What has Oracle guided for the year?

Oracle’s share-price upside depends on converting its backlog into profitable OCI capacity and durable cash returns. For the year to May 2027, management guides to at least US$90 billion of revenue and US$8.10 of non-GAAP EPS. It expects US$90–95 billion of gross capital expenditure and guides to US$70 billion of net cash outlay for CapEx.

Did Oracle keep its past promises?

Oracle did keep one important promise. It forecast fiscal 2026 infrastructure revenue of US$18 billion in September 2025 and delivered US$18.1 billion. That growth is real, but negative free cash flow of US$23.7 billion leaves the harder question unanswered: can the new leaders turn expansion into attractive returns for the owners who fund it?

What is Oracle's revenue and profit trend?

That growth still has to be delivered. A contract promises future revenue, but Oracle records cloud revenue as it provides working capacity. It must obtain GPUs, power, buildings and networking before a customer can use the service. The quarterly figures show that capacity is reaching customers: revenue rose from US$14,926 million in August 2025 to US$19,345 million in August 2026.

Diluted earnings per share, or EPS, rose from US$4.34 to US$5.83 in fiscal 2026. That increase was faster than sales, but investment gains, taxes and share-count changes also mattered. The central question is therefore whether delivered infrastructure growth can earn an attractive return after the cash needed to build it.
