Church & Dwight earnings: guidance and results
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: Church & Dwight's next results are expected on October 30, 2026. The main thing to watch is whether Church & Dwight turns brand growth into durable profit and cash.
What has Church & Dwight guided for the year?
For 2026, management guides to 4%–5% organic sales growth and 100–120 basis points of adjusted gross-margin expansion. It expects adjusted EPS growth of 6%–8% and operating cash flow of $1,175.0 million.

| Period guided | Low | High | Date given | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reported Sales Growth (%) | Year to Dec 2026 | 0.0% | 1.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Organic Sales Growth (%) | Year to Dec 2026 | 4.0% | 5.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Adjusted Gross Margin expansion (basis points) | Year to Dec 2026 | 100 | 120 | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Adjusted EPS growth (%) | Year to Dec 2026 | 6.0% | 8.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Cash flow from operations (US$ millions) | Year to Dec 2026 | 1,175.0 | 1,175.0 | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Reported Sales Growth (%) | Quarter to Sep 2026 | -0.5% | -0.5% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Organic Sales Growth (%) | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 3.0% | 3.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Adjusted EPS growth (%) | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 10.0% | 10.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
What this means. The company's reported sales growth is only 0% to 1% while its organic sales growth is 4% to 5% because acquisitions, divestitures, foreign exchange, and other items add about 4% to the comparison.
Has Church & Dwight kept its past promises?
The original promises still matter. In January 2025, management forecast sales growth of 3–4% and adjusted earnings-per-share growth of 7–8%. The year delivered 1.6% sales growth and 2.6% adjusted earnings growth. Management later lowered its earnings-growth outlook to 0–2% and beat that revised range, but beating a reduced promise does not erase the earlier shortfall.
| What management forecast | Checked | Above | Within | Below |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Net Sales growth | 5 years | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| Organic Sales Growth | 5 years | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| Cash flow from operations | 5 years | 3 | 0 | 2 |
What this means. The three rows cover five years each, so there are fifteen checks in total, not five.
What is Church & Dwight's recent revenue and profit trend?
Recent quarters suggest recovery, but not a smooth one. Organic growth fell through parts of 2025 before reaching 5.0% and 5.8% in the first half of 2026. The specialist therefore asks whether volume gains persist and become profitable, which leads from growth to the profit account.
| Jun 2026 | Mar 2026 | Dec 2025 | Sep 2025 | Jun 2025 | Mar 2025 | Dec 2024 | Sep 2024 | |

| = Free cash flow | 256.9 | 142.9 | 308.2 | 407.3 | 208.3 | 169.2 | 237.7 | 315.4 |
What this means. Sales grew 1.6 percent as reported, but 5.8 percent from the existing business after excluding the acquired Miss Mouth’s and currency effects.
What should I watch in Church & Dwight's next results?
The first checkpoint is October 30, 2026, when Church & Dwight is scheduled to report the September quarter. Look beyond sales to penetration, repeat purchases, sales per store and category share. More stores carrying TheraBreath can lift sales initially; repeat purchases and stronger sales per store show whether that distribution is durable.
Waterpik deserves a separate check at the 2026 impairment review. Its trade name carried $644.7 million at the October 1, 2025 test. Fair value was only 17% above book value, down from 35% a year earlier. An impairment would not immediately consume cash, but it would signal that the brand’s expected economics had weakened. The water-flosser market is forecast to grow 4.74% annually from 2026 to 2034, while Waterpik held about 40% of US oral-irrigator sales in the 2026–2036 market estimate.
