Supermicro earnings
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: Supermicro’s next results are on November 3, 2026. Watch whether strong sales become earnings and collected cash.
What has Supermicro guided for FY2027?
For FY2027, the year ending June 2027, management guided to a large increase in sales. Its first September-quarter guide was later raised sharply because customers wanted more AI platforms. The update put preliminary sales above the original range’s ceiling, but it did not replace the annual guide or add a new earnings forecast.

| Period guided | Low | High | Date given | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| net sales | Year to Jun 2027 | 65,000,000 | 72,000,000 | Aug 11, 2026 |
| preliminary net sales — first quarter | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 18,500,000 | 19,500,000 | Oct 20, 2026 |
| GAAP net income per diluted share | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 0.89 | 0.98 | Aug 11, 2026 |
| non-GAAP net income per diluted share | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 1.01 | 1.10 | Aug 11, 2026 |
| tax rate — GAAP (%) | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 20.1% | 20.1% | Aug 11, 2026 |
What this means. The adjusted earnings-per-share forecast is higher because it leaves out stock-based compensation costs, so it does not show the company's full costs.
Has Supermicro kept its past promises?
Supermicro’s record against earlier promises is mixed. Sales and both EPS measures have missed in some comparable quarters, and warnings have sometimes arrived after the quarter ended. Customer platform decisions, older inventory and the rush to launch products can move revenue between quarters. The higher October estimate is encouraging, but final earnings and cash collection still have to confirm it.
| What management forecast | Checked | Above | Within | Below |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Net sales | 7 quarters | 1 | 3 | 3 |
| GAAP net income per diluted share | 7 quarters | 2 | 3 | 2 |
| Non-GAAP net income per diluted share | 7 quarters | 2 | 3 | 2 |
What this means. The two earnings-per-share rows use different accounting rules, so their results may differ even though they measure the same basic profit per share.
What were Supermicro’s last eight quarters like?
The eight-quarter sequence puts that result in context. Gross margin had fallen to a trough before recovering in March and then rising much further in June. Management attributed the improvement to customer and product mix and lower inventory reserves. A reserve records an expected loss on stock that may sell below cost or become obsolete, so releasing one can raise current profit without proving that new systems carry better economics.
| Jun 2026 | Mar 2026 | Dec 2025 | Sep 2025 | Jun 2025 | Mar 2025 | Dec 2024 | Sep 2024 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | 11,119,777 | 10,243,014 | 12,682,491 | 5,017,790 | 5,756,911 | 4,599,913 | 5,677,962 | 5,937,256 |
| Gross margin | 17.5% | 9.9% | 6.3% | 9.3% | 9.5% | 9.6% | 11.8% | 13.1% |
| Operating income | 1,488,064 | 625,868 | 474,298 | 182,256 | 228,391 | 146,780 | 368,624 | 509,199 |
| Net income | 1,178,217 | 483,387 | 400,564 | 168,285 | 195,154 | 108,777 | 320,596 | 424,327 |
| EPS, diluted | 1.62 | 0.72 | 0.60 | 0.26 | 0.31 | 0.17 | 0.51 | 0.67 |
What this means. The very large negative cash flow in March 2026 comes from subtracting two year-to-date reports, so it does not necessarily mean the company lost that much cash in that quarter.
What should I watch in Supermicro’s next results?
Supermicro is scheduled to report its September-quarter results on November 3, 2026. The call should test the preliminary sales and gross-margin estimates, provide the missing EPS result and show whether customer payments followed the shipments. Higher sales accompanied by rising inventory or unpaid invoices would tell a different story from higher sales accompanied by collections.
