Everest earnings
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: Everest's next results are expected on February 3, 2027. Watch whether later claims support Everest's larger reserve cushion.
What has Everest guided for the near term?
Everest could reach $437.25 in October 2027 and $570.61 in October 2029, but that path hinges on reserve confidence and attractive returns on retained underwriting. Management targets mid-teens total shareholder return over the cycle and expects Global Wholesale & Specialty to run at a mid-to-high 90s combined ratio near term. Its 2026 guidance includes $150 million of restructuring charges tied to the AIG transaction.
For the near term, management expects Global Wholesale & Specialty to produce a combined ratio in the mid-to-high 90s. A 97% ratio means claims and underwriting expenses consume $97 of every $100 of premiums, leaving roughly $3 before investment income. Everest has not supplied a comparable group-wide earnings or premium target.

What is Everest's revenue and profit trend?
For the retained businesses, gross written premium rose from $13.705 billion in 2023 to $15.137 billion in 2025. Treaty continued to grow, while Global Wholesale & Specialty wrote less in 2025 than in 2024. Earned premium still rose because earlier policies were working through the accounts.
Investment income rose from $1.101 billion in 2023 to $1.584 billion in 2025, while underwriting gain fell from $1.384 billion to $937 million. Everest can therefore remain profitable while relying more heavily on the investment of premiums awaiting payment.

What should investors watch in Everest's next release?
In the fourth quarter of 2026, Everest will complete further reserve studies, including parts of its international insurance business and cyber coverage. Most material long-tail reviews were completed in the third quarter. The key question is whether later claims support the larger cushion Everest has established above its actuarial central estimate.
