TC Energy earnings date and guidance
TC Energy’s next results are expected on November 11, 2026. Watch whether cash flow supports management’s upper-end earnings expectation.
What has TC Energy guided for 2026?
TC expects comparable EBITDA to reach the upper end of its existing 2026 range. Comparable EBITDA measures the earnings power of ongoing operations before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, with specified items removed. The expected improvement rests on projects completed in 2025, higher revenue from the Columbia Gas settlement and Bruce Power Unit 3’s return to commercial operation. TC also expects comparable earnings per share to exceed 2025, but gives no numerical EPS range.
Capital spending remains substantial through 2030, while the 2028 EBITDA target is higher than the 2026 range. The guidance table separates these earnings, investment and funding promises.
| The period guided | Low | High | The date it was given | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Comparable EBITDA | Year to Dec 2026 | 11,600 | 11,800 | Jul 30, 2026 |
| Capital expenditures | Year to Dec 2026 | 6,000 | 6,500 | Jul 30, 2026 |
| Net capital expenditures | Year to Dec 2026 | 5,500 | 6,000 | Jul 30, 2026 |
| Comparable earnings per common share | Year to Dec 2026 | Jul 30, 2026 | ||
| Canadian Natural Gas Pipelines, Comparable EBITDA | Year to Dec 2026 | Feb 12, 2026 | ||
| U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines, Comparable EBITDA | Year to Dec 2026 | Feb 12, 2026 |
What this means. The estimated project costs are the total budget for each project, not the amount the company will spend each year.
Has TC Energy kept its project promises?
Project execution supplies a harder test than a compensation formula. Southeast Gateway in Mexico cost approximately US$3.9 billion, 13% below its original estimate. CFE, Mexico’s state electricity company, paid the May toll on time in June 2025. A toll is a customer’s payment for reserved pipeline capacity, like a payment to use a toll road. But Villa de Reyes still depended on resolving land and stakeholder problems.
What do TC Energy’s last eight quarters show?
The June 2026 quarter shows broad operating improvement, but cash growth was much less dramatic than profit growth.
Revenue, operating income, net income and both reported and comparable EPS improved against the same quarter a year earlier. That comparison is more useful than comparing adjacent quarters because winter demand, outages, settlements and commissioning make the sequence uneven.
| Jun 2026 | Mar 2026 | Dec 2025 | Sep 2025 | Jun 2025 | Mar 2025 | Dec 2024 | Sep 2024 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | 3,957 | 3,861 | 4,168 | 3,704 | 3,744 | 3,623 | 3,577 | 3,358 |
| Operating income | 2,173 | 2,171 | 2,188 | 1,928 | 1,954 | 1,966 | 1,898 | 2,383 |
| Net income | 1,016 | 927 | 994 | 841 | 890 | 1,006 | 1,097 | 1,364 |
| EPS, diluted | 0.95 | 0.86 | 0.92 | 0.78 | 0.83 | 0.94 | 1.03 | 1.29 |
What this means. Lease payments and interest paid show as zero because the company includes them in cash from operations instead of reporting them separately.
