What has Experian guided for FY27?

The promise covers FY27, the year ending 31 March 2027. Reported revenue growth is expected to be 8.0–11.0% at actual exchange rates. Organic growth means sales from the existing business, excluding acquisitions and currency effects; management expects 6.0–8.0%. Acquisitions add sales by bringing new businesses into the group, while exchange rates can make overseas revenue worth more or less when translated into dollars. Organic growth therefore best shows whether existing customers are buying more.

Management also expects Benchmark EBIT margin to expand by 50 basis points. EBIT is operating profit before interest and tax; Benchmark is Experian’s adjusted measure, which excludes selected acquisition, restructuring and other exceptional items. The company expects that revenue growth and a better margin will produce double-digit growth in Benchmark EPS. A buyback can help EPS too, because the same profit is divided among fewer shares, though that does not itself improve sales or efficiency.

Has Experian kept its past promises?

Experian delivered 8% organic growth and 60 basis points of constant-currency margin expansion in FY26. Organic growth excludes acquisitions, constant currency removes exchange-rate effects, and a basis point is one-hundredth of a percentage point. That was credible delivery against management’s stated operating promises.

What is Experian's revenue and profit trend?

Revenue grew 10.0% at actual exchange rates. It grew 8.0% at constant exchange rates and 7.0% organically. Currency and acquisitions therefore contributed to the headline result. Organic growth slowed from the March quarter, but management kept its full-year expectations.

What this means. Free cash flow is not the same as profit: it is the cash left after the business pays for equipment and leases, so it can rise or fall differently from net income.

What should investors watch in Experian's next results?

The next checkpoint is the half-year result on 18 November 2026. North American Consumer Services grew 3% excluding data-breach services in the first quarter, helped by personal loans and insurance while credit cards remained subdued. Because a marketplace depends on lenders wanting customers, weaker lender marketing or acceptance can reduce fees even when consumers are interested.
