ENGIE earnings: guidance and next results
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: ENGIE’s next results are expected on November 5, 2026. Watch whether recurring earnings convert into cash while UKPN contributes.
What has ENGIE guided for 2026?
ENGIE’s main measure is net recurring income, Group share, or NRIgs: shareholder profit after unusual items are removed. On July 31, management raised its 2026 NRIgs range to €4.9–€5.5 billion. It expects EBIT excluding nuclear of €9.2–€10.2 billion.
For 2027, management kept the NRIgs range at €4.9–€5.5 billion even as operating profit rises. Recurring financial costs are expected to absorb €2.3–€2.5 billion. The dividend policy distributes 65–75% of NRIgs, with a €1.10-per-share floor, competing with construction for the same cash.
| Period | Low | High | Given on | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Net recurring income Group share | Year to Dec 2026 | 4,900 | 5,500 | Jul 31, 2026 |
| EBIT excluding nuclear | Year to Dec 2026 | 9,200 | 10,200 | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Dividend payout ratio based on NRIgs | Year to Dec 2026 | 65.0% | 75.0% | Jul 31, 2026 |
| Dividend floor (EUR per share) | Year to Dec 2026 | 1.10 | Jul 31, 2026 |
Did ENGIE keep its past promises?
Management’s record is strong but not flawless: the five final annual ranges checked were achieved. Earlier guidance was revised down, however, so investors should judge both the final result and the promise made before revisions.
| What management forecast | Checked | Above | Within | Below |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Net recurring income Group share (NRIgs) | 4 years | 4 | 0 | 0 |
| EBITDA | 4 years | 3 | 1 | 0 |
| EBIT (formerly COI) | 4 years | 4 | 0 | 0 |
What this means. The table uses shortened names for different kinds of profit, so these numbers are not all measuring the same thing.
What has ENGIE’s revenue and profit trend been?
As of October 26, 2026, H1 2026 was the latest complete financial period; the October operating preview did not yet provide a full nine-month income statement. Revenue fell 3.6% to €36.707 billion, while operating income rose 4.8% to €5.699 billion.
The quality check is less comfortable. A €598 million operating mark-to-market gain helped reported profit. Removing it would reduce operating income to €5,101 million, below the prior year’s reported figure. Net recurring income fell to approximately €3.0 billion from €3.1 billion.
