What has VINCI guided for 2026?

VINCI has reaffirmed that revenue, operating earnings and profit attributable to shareholders should all rise over 2025. Operating earnings measure profit from running the businesses before financing costs and tax. Attributable profit goes further: it shows what remains for VINCI’s shareholders after those costs, tax and the share belonging to minority owners. Free cash flow measures actual cash left after the operating and investment spending included in VINCI’s definition.

The divisions have different tasks. Airport passenger numbers should stay broadly stable, French motorway traffic should decline slightly, Energy Solutions should deliver mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth and improve its margin, and Construction should hold revenue broadly steady before currency effects while maintaining its Ebit margin. These promises favour profitable work over growth for its own sake.

What this means. Zero.e’s six gigawatts of renewable power capacity includes projects already running, being built, or ready to build, so not all of it is producing electricity today.

Has VINCI kept its past promises?

Management’s historical record merits a 4/5 assessment: 12 of 13 selected comparable commitments were met or exceeded. The score shows generally reliable delivery, but not a probability that the current forecast will come true. It also depends on how precisely directional promises can be judged.

What are VINCI's last eight reported results?

Third-quarter 2026 sales grew 4.9% year on year, after broadly stable first-quarter sales and 4% growth in the second quarter. That is an acceleration in revenue, not proof of an equivalent acceleration in profit, because the release did not provide a complete third-quarter profit-and-cash account.

What this means. The columns labeled six months to December are the full year's figures minus the first six months, so they represent the second half of the year rather than a separately reported six-month period.

What should I watch in VINCI's next results?

Full-year results are scheduled for 10 February 2027. They should test the cash ambition and show how much room remains for investment and distributions. Investors should then track actual commissioning across Zero.e, Gatwick’s construction spending and timetable, and Escota’s preparation for its February 2032 handback.

From the full memo · 1. The business

VINCI is easiest to understand as two businesses living together: it builds infrastructure and, under time-limited contracts, operates some of it. A dollar—or, here, a euro—arrives from a road journey, an airport, a project or a service, then leaves through labour, suppliers, maintenance, investment, financing and tax.
