What has Booking Holdings guided for the third quarter of 2026?

For the third quarter of 2026, management guided to room-night growth of 3.0%–5.0%. It expects revenue and adjusted EBITDA to grow 4.0%–6.0%; adjusted EBITDA compares operating performance but is not cash available to spend.

Constant-currency revenue growth is expected to be 5.0%–7.0%, compared with 4.0%–6.0% as reported. Constant currency removes exchange-rate movements. A hotel priced at €1,000 can produce fewer dollars when the euro weakens, even if the traveler and hotel price do not change.

Has Booking Holdings kept its past promises?

By August 2026, management expected approximately US$650 million of annual run-rate savings by the end of 2027. Run-rate means the savings expected over a full year once changes are fully operating; it is not cash already received. Booking has kept a measurable promise and set a larger one, but shareholders still need to watch restructuring costs, service quality and the returns on reinvestment.

What has Booking Holdings' revenue and profit done?

Revenue rose 8.1%, while operating income rose 11.1%, so operating margin improved. Net income increased much faster because the comparison included a currency loss in the prior year. In Q2 2026, specified euro-debt items produced a $195 million gain after a $961 million loss a year earlier.

Lower interest expense also helped as convertible-note charges disappeared. A $79 million discrete tax expense reduced current-quarter earnings, while adjusted net income grew 8%, much closer to revenue growth.
