Baidu earnings: guidance and what to watch
Baidu's next results are expected on November 24, 2026. Baidu's key test is whether AI Cloud growth is becoming cash generation.
What has Baidu guided for the year?
Baidu’s promise is clear about direction but vague about the finish line. Its AI Cloud business, which rents computing capacity to customers, expects strong growth in the second half of 2026 and room to accelerate. Management says that growth should come from both new customers and larger commitments by existing ones.
Advertising is moving in the opposite direction. Baidu expects pressure to persist because chatbots and social platforms compete for attention, while its new AI search experience deliberately limits advertising until the product becomes more useful.
Has Baidu kept its past promises?
Baidu completed the Hong Kong listing on September 1, 2026, after management had said completion was expected within the year. Its US$5 billion buyback authorization through 2028 is different: it permits repurchases but does not require management to spend the full amount. The dividend policy similarly allows possible distributions rather than promising a fixed payment.
What have Baidu's last eight quarters shown?
The June 2026 quarter showed better operating cash collection, but continued revenue pressure and a much heavier investment bill.

What should Baidu watchers look for next?
The next results should show whether AI Cloud growth is becoming cash generation. Investors should read cloud revenue, advertising income and operating cash flow together: faster cloud sales will be less reassuring if equipment spending accelerates even faster.
