What has Zoetis guided for 2026?

Zoetis is entering 2026 with a smaller business, so stabilization is the immediate test. On August 6, 2026, management guided to revenue of $9,120–$9,320 million and organic-operational revenue declining 3%–1%. Organic-operational results remove currency movements and specified acquisitions or disposals, so the contraction reflects the continuing business more directly.

Reported results are the official accounting record; adjusted and organic-operational results are management’s lenses on ordinary operations. Adjusted figures remove specified items such as acquisition-accounting costs and restructuring charges, while reported profit retains costs shareholders ultimately bear. Management therefore guides to adjusted diluted EPS of $6.15–$6.25 and reported diluted EPS of $5.55–$5.65.

What this means. The adjusted figures leave out certain unusual and acquisition-related costs, so they are not the same as the company's reported results.

Did Zoetis keep its past promises?

The promises-kept record deserves 3/5: 10 of 15 initial targets were met or exceeded, but guidance was cut in several recent years. Currency explains part of the history, though supply constraints and veterinary workforce problems also mattered. James Saccaro’s appointment as CFO and COO, effective August 17, 2026, puts finance and manufacturing oversight together. The useful question is whether that improves the link between demand, production, inventory and cash.

How have Zoetis revenue and profit trended over the last eight quarters?

Revenue was effectively flat from the prior-year quarter. Gross margin slipped, and both operating income and net income fell, but diluted earnings per share rose because fewer shares remained outstanding. This is the clearest recent example of why total profit matters alongside the per-share result.

What this means. The September 2025 cash figures use an older reporting schedule, so they cannot be compared directly with the other quarters.

What should Zoetis watch next?

The next evidence must show whether demand, the pipeline and contingent liabilities are moving in Zoetis’s favor. The next scheduled quarterly report is November 5, 2026. Revenue and spending should be read together: an EPS beat caused by lower costs says less about recovery than stronger product sales and clinic demand.
