What has Intuit guided for fiscal 2027?

Fiscal 2027 revenue guidance is $23,279–$23,512 million. That represents growth of 9.0%–10.0%, below fiscal 2026’s 14%. Global Business Solutions, which includes QuickBooks, is expected to grow 13.0%–14.0%. TurboTax is guided to 2.0%–3.0% growth, Credit Karma to 11.0%–13.0%, and Mailchimp to decline by 1.0% or remain flat.

Operating income is guided to grow 26.0%–27.0%, reaching a margin of about 32%. This is operating leverage: revenue grows, but costs grow more slowly. Imagine revenue rising by 10% while costs rise by less. Profit can then rise by 20%. The plan works only if savings are real and customer investment produces lasting revenue.

Has Intuit kept its past promises?

From August 2026, Intuit began including stock compensation in its adjusted financial measures. But its July 2024 expectation of growing headcount deserves scrutiny beside the May 2026 announcement of a 17% workforce reduction. The overall record is mixed: management has expertise and performance mechanisms, but owners must judge whether the AI bet, board oversight, insider behavior and changing promises ultimately serve them.

How have Intuit's revenue and profit trended?

Revenue grew 13.7% year over year. Gross margin improved from 76.7% to 78.1%, and operating income rose from $339 million to $475 million. Net income and diluted EPS nevertheless fell, so the layers of the accounts were moving in different directions.

What this means. The jump in cash from operations and free cash flow for the year ending July 2026 was partly caused by paying less tax after a change in tax law, not just by stronger business performance.

What should you watch in Intuit's next results?

The first checkpoint is the quarter ending October 2026, with reporting estimated for November 19. Management guides quarterly revenue to $4,294–$4,313 million. Adjusted earnings per share is guided to $2.44–$2.48. This is also the first quarter with the new compensation treatment and separate Mailchimp reporting, so comparability matters.

From the full memo · 1. The business

Intuit sells software and expert help that let businesses keep books, move money, reach customers, and let people prepare taxes or choose financial products. Its business is a set of connected services, but its dollar flows differ: some customers pay Intuit directly, some partners pay for results, and much of the money passing through belongs to someone else.
