Did Datadog keep its past promises?

Datadog began 2025 forecasting revenue of US$3.175 billion–US$3.195 billion. It ultimately reported US$3.43 billion of revenue and US$768 million of adjusted operating income, exceeding its opening outlook. Guidance is not a promise, but delivery against the first forecast is useful evidence of execution.

What has Datadog’s recent revenue and profit trend been?

Revenue reached $1,121.454 million, up 35.6% year over year. Growth had already accelerated across the preceding quarters, so June was not simply an isolated jump.

Gross margin fell from 79.9% to 78.6% as cloud infrastructure and software costs rose. Operating results nevertheless improved from a $35.500 million loss to a $5.455 million profit because revenue grew faster than operating expenses. The resulting operating margin was still only about 0.5%.
