AMETEK earnings date and guidance
AMETEK's next results are expected on November 3, 2026. Watch whether Indicor is adding the earnings and cash AMETEK expects.
What has AMETEK guided for the year?
On August 4, AMETEK expected 2026 sales growth of 10% and raised its adjusted earnings-per-share outlook to $8.20–$8.30. It also guided to Q3 adjusted EPS of $2.08–$2.10. These are targets for the year and quarter, not a promise that results will rise in a straight line.
On August 26, AMETEK completed its all-cash purchase of Indicor Instrumentation for $5.0 billion. It expects Indicor to contribute approximately $350 million of sales in 2026 and to be “modestly accretive” to adjusted earnings. Accretive means the acquired business should increase AMETEK’s earnings per share after its costs. Management did not give a dollar estimate, and it did not replace the earlier EPS range.
| Period guided | Low | High | Date given | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Overall sales growth (%) | Year to Dec 2026 | 10.0% | 10.0% | 2026-08-04 |
| Diluted earnings per share (GAAP) | Year to Dec 2026 | 7.19 | 7.29 | 2026-08-04 |
| Diluted earnings per share (GAAP) — third quarter | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 1.85 | 1.87 | 2026-08-04 |
| Adjusted Diluted earnings per share (Non-GAAP) | Year to Dec 2026 | 8.20 | 8.30 | 2026-08-04 |
| Adjusted Diluted earnings per share (Non-GAAP) — third quarter | Quarter to Sep 2026 | 2.08 | 2.10 | 2026-08-04 |
| Indicor Instrumentation sales contribution (US$ millions) | Year to Dec 2026 | 350 | 350 | 2026-08-26 |
What this means. The company’s forecast leaves out the recently acquired Indicor business, so its separate 350 million dollar sales estimate is not included in the main sales or earnings forecasts.
What do AMETEK's last eight quarters show?
June 2026 showed stronger underlying demand and cash generation, although reported margin still reflected acquisition effects. Revenue rose 15.0% year over year, including 10.0% organic growth, so more of the increase came from businesses AMETEK already owned.
Orders rose sharply, and backlog increased. Cash from operations and free cash flow also improved, helped by higher earnings and easier working-capital demands. That combination matters because orders promise future work, while cash shows whether current work is being converted into collections.
| Jun 2026 | Mar 2026 | Dec 2025 | Sep 2025 | Jun 2025 | Mar 2025 | Dec 2024 | Sep 2024 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | 2,044,397 | 1,928,437 | 1,998,448 | 1,892,641 | 1,778,056 | 1,731,971 | 1,761,602 | 1,708,564 |

| = Free cash flow | 451,683 | 426,048 | 527,266 | 419,952 | 329,820 | 394,476 | 498,292 | 460,888 |
What this means. The revenue increase in June 2026 partly comes from newly bought businesses, so it does not all mean the existing business grew.
What should investors watch in AMETEK's next results?
AMETEK scheduled its Q3 release and call for November 3, 2026. Management should explain Indicor’s earnings contribution, integration progress, the amount of acquisition financing and whether cash generation is keeping pace with debt service and maturities.
