Truist earnings: January 20, 2027
Truist's next results are expected on January 20, 2027. Watch whether management gives a funding source, timetable and measurable result behind each investment.
What has Truist guided for the quarter ending December 2026?
Truist offers modest upside, but the path depends on deposit costs, credit control, and improved returns. Management targets 15% ROTCE in 2027; ROTCE measures profit against common shareholders’ invested capital. Its long-term target is 16%–18%, versus 12.7% in 2025.
For the quarter ending December 2026, guidance calls for net interest income of $3,650–$3,700 million, a 0.5% net charge-off ratio, and $1 billion in share repurchases. Truist targets 10.0% CET1 by December 31, 2027, and a normal-condition common dividend payout of 30%–50%.

What do Truist's last eight quarters show in revenue and profit?
Truist’s earnings recovered, but reported growth is not a clean measure of ordinary banking growth.
Revenue fell while net interest income and NIM held up, so the main problem was not simply the ordinary lending spread. Truist reported adjusted EPS of $1.16, up 12% year over year, after excluding the securities loss and effects related to the RAC transaction. That measure better describes the quarter’s continuing engine, but reported earnings still show the cost of the decisions made.

What should investors watch in Truist's next release?
Three tests will determine whether Truist’s promises become a workable plan: January’s strategy review, the Bickerstaff settlement payment and the next stress-capital decision.
