Kuaishou Technology dividend
MyStockButler's October 2026 analysis: Kuaishou Technology paid a special dividend and a final dividend for 2025; its latest declared dividend translated to CNY0.587 per share. Kuaishou Technology remains cash-generative, but less cash was left after reinvestment, so coverage needs both free cash flow and real free cash flow checked.
How much does Kuaishou Technology pay in dividends?
Shareholders began receiving cash in 2025. Kuaishou declared a HK$0.46 special dividend on August 21, 2025, and later proposed a HK$0.69 final dividend for 2025, which was paid in July 2026. It also continued a HK$16 billion buyback programme announced on May 22, 2024; by July 6, 2026, it had spent HK$8.35 billion under the programme.
The base dividend is CNY0.50 per share in each year. That is below the latest declared dividend, which translated to CNY0.587, and reflects the absence of a formal payout policy. The bear case pays nothing because Kuaishou paid no dividend in four of the five historical years. The bull case pays CNY0.65, CNY0.75 and CNY0.85 as earnings and cash recover.
| 2025 | 2024 | 2023 | 2022 | 2021 | |

| = FCF not paid out, per share | 0.59 | 3.02 | 2.49 |
What this means. The company's free cash flow per share is higher than our real free cash flow per share because we subtract shares given to employees as pay, which reduces each existing owner's share.
Is Kuaishou Technology's dividend covered by its cash?
The larger pressure came from investment. Capital spending rose sharply as Kuaishou paid for property, equipment and intangible assets. Servers and other computing capacity require cash immediately, while accounting spreads their cost through future depreciation. After capital spending, lease payments and interest, free cash flow fell sharply and represented a much smaller share of revenue.
Deducting stock compensation produces “real free cash flow”, an analytical measure that treats share awards as a cost borne by shareholders. It is not another cash payment, but it helps connect cash generation with dilution and the eventual cost of replacing awards.

| Paid out, % of free cash flow | 64.5% | 26.9% | 10.5% | not meaningful | not meaningful |
What this means. In 2025, the company paid shareholders slightly more than its free cash flow after counting stock pay, so it had to use other cash to cover the difference.
What could change Kuaishou Technology's dividend?
The bull case would become more credible in 2028–29 if repeat Kling and enterprise demand lifted capacity utilization, overseas losses stayed contained and stronger cash generation funded larger buybacks and dividends.

What this means. The negative net debt figures mean the company has more cash than borrowing, so it has net cash rather than net debt.
