Ping An earnings: date, guidance and results
Ping An’s next results are expected on October 29, 2026. The key watch is whether life-insurance sales remain profitable after distribution-rule changes.
What has Ping An guided for the year?
On August 20, 2026, Ping An set a 30.0% floor for accumulated cash distributions over a rolling three-year period. The comparison uses average yearly distributable profit of the parent company: profit after tax after past losses and required reserves, not the combined profit of every subsidiary. If that average is RMB100, total dividends over the period must be at least RMB30, provided profit is positive and legal and solvency rules permit payment.
Management’s strategic direction is integrated finance, health and senior care, supported by technology. It has not supplied a verified numerical group growth target, and says forward-looking statements are not commitments. The dividend floor is therefore the firmest guide to shareholder returns; the next question is whether analysts see operating profits strong enough to sustain it.
| Period it covers | Low | Date it was given | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accumulated profit to be distributed in cash | Rolling three years | 30.0% | Aug 20, 2026 |
Has Ping An kept its past promises?
Promises should finally be judged against results. Ping An’s insurance reform, begun in 2020, aimed to improve agents and connect insurance with health and elder care. Life-and-health new business value grew 11.2% in the first half of 2026, supporting the view that the turnaround is progressing. Cash dividends increased for the fourteenth consecutive year in 2025. The 2026 interim dividend also rose.
The answer is qualified: governance offers ways to challenge management, and pay and employee plans encourage long-term alignment. But Ma Mingzhe’s continuing influence, minority independent oversight and opaque performance targets mean shareholders must keep testing whether promised growth and distributions justify the risks taken.
What is Ping An’s recent revenue and profit trend?
Subtracting Q1 from H1 gives Q2 shareholder net income of RMB67,563 million, up 64.7% year on year. Core earnings were RMB43,416 million, up about 9.0%. The gap means that ordinary operating improvement cannot explain the entire reported jump.
