Shenhua earnings date and guidance
Shenhua expects its next results on October 23, 2026. Watch whether own-mine production catches up with the annual plan.
What has Shenhua guided for 2026?
Shenhua plans to produce 513.4 million tonnes of commercial coal and sell 618.1 million tonnes. Commercial coal is coal prepared for sale, while sales also include coal bought from other producers. In the first quarter, Shenhua sold 78.0 million tonnes from its own mines and 25.2 million tonnes of purchased coal. That extra trading volume can increase revenue, but it usually contributes less profit than an additional tonne from Shenhua’s own mines.
Management also guides to a 4% rise in the unit production cost of self-produced coal. A unit cost is the cost of producing one tonne, not the company’s total spending. In the first quarter, revenue was RMB70.397 billion against RMB49.741 billion of cost of sales. Profit attributable to shareholders was RMB11.885 billion after further expenses and tax, so revenue less cost of sales is not the same as final profit.
